Over/Under is a bet on whether the total number of a specific event (usually goals, points or runs) in a match will be above or below a line set by the bookmaker, such as 2.5 goals. Betting Over 2.5 wins if 3 or more goals are scored; Under 2.5 wins if 2 or fewer are scored. Half-goal lines like 2.5 exist specifically so the bet can't push. A match ending 2-1 has 3 total goals: Over 2.5 wins, Under 2.5 loses.
